Mining and quarrying are essential industries, but they leave landscapes that require careful restoration. Across Australia, regulations require mine operators to rehabilitate land back to its natural state after operations cease — restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity and returning land to productive use.

The O'Bryan Scraper range plays a central role across multiple stages of this process. During topsoil removal, the O'Bryan Scraper strips and preserves topsoil while soil samples are collected to guide revegetation. Once waste rock is placed for stabilisation, the scraper redistributes, aerates and compacts soil across the landform — contouring it for the intended post-mining use, whether cropping, grazing or conservation.

The ejector mechanism delivers consistent, clean discharge even in wet and sticky conditions — critical when working rehabilitated ground. GPS-guided operation ensures accurate land forming across large areas, giving rehabilitation contractors the precision needed to meet regulatory requirements and achieve long-term restoration outcomes.
